One rainy afternoon

It was too dilusionary -
The warm words
Cocooned in your voice.

Even the lunch seemed surreal
Strange afternoon, that was.

It was pouring through the sunlight
Moisture in the air,
On the skin.

How easily our lips had melted
Into each-other.

Almost two years stand
Between us now,
And life goes on.

Some more time

Emptiness spreads across
This vast expanse
Weighing heavy on me.

I know,
You feel its weight too.
If I induce it with words
It’ll burst and rain,
Drenching us both to our bones.

Let’s keep dry
For a while.
Time will stretch itself
And the void will fall into it,
Crashing to bits.

And there’ll be room for us
Again.
