In your touch
I live a hundred lives.
When you, your soft words
Reverberate through my being
I’m flailed into a turbulent sea
I’m calmed by the you in me.
In your touch
I find a hundred worlds
All my own.
Sometimes, I need to get a thought out of my head; to set a feeling free; to let words create a trail that i can trace back. Sometimes, I need to write a poem.

Illusions
Last night
In the pool of moonlight
It was easy to imagine
That it’s my calm
Reflected in the face of the moon.
Today, again
The sun is a bane
Flinging a familiar smoke
Into my breath
Of comforting fancies.
In the pool of moonlight
It was easy to imagine
That it’s my calm
Reflected in the face of the moon.
Today, again
The sun is a bane
Flinging a familiar smoke
Into my breath
Of comforting fancies.

Midnight verse
You make me smile
Innocent as the first slice of crescent moon.
You touch me the most
Where thoughts of you emerge, settle, and live.
You gather me in your embrace
When I hurt and collapse.
You make me feel beautiful
Even on a bad hair day.
You make me feel.
Innocent as the first slice of crescent moon.
You touch me the most
Where thoughts of you emerge, settle, and live.
You gather me in your embrace
When I hurt and collapse.
You make me feel beautiful
Even on a bad hair day.
You make me feel.

One rainy afternoon
It was too dilusionary -
The warm words
Cocooned in your voice.
Even the lunch seemed surreal
Strange afternoon, that was.
It was pouring through the sunlight
Moisture in the air,
On the skin.
How easily our lips had melted
Into each-other.
Almost two years stand
Between us now,
And life goes on.
The warm words
Cocooned in your voice.
Even the lunch seemed surreal
Strange afternoon, that was.
It was pouring through the sunlight
Moisture in the air,
On the skin.
How easily our lips had melted
Into each-other.
Almost two years stand
Between us now,
And life goes on.

Some more time
Emptiness spreads across
This vast expanse
Weighing heavy on me.
I know,
You feel its weight too.
If I induce it with words
It’ll burst and rain,
Drenching us both to our bones.
Let’s keep dry
For a while.
Time will stretch itself
And the void will fall into it,
Crashing to bits.
And there’ll be room for us
Again.
This vast expanse
Weighing heavy on me.
I know,
You feel its weight too.
If I induce it with words
It’ll burst and rain,
Drenching us both to our bones.
Let’s keep dry
For a while.
Time will stretch itself
And the void will fall into it,
Crashing to bits.
And there’ll be room for us
Again.

Drifting apart
The words have run cold
Like the hearts.
Such distance
That can’t be measured just in miles.
The hearts shrank as well
Squeezed out all the past they contained,
All the warmth,
Till they got minuscule.
It’s so easy
To not see each-other
Anymore.
Like the hearts.
Such distance
That can’t be measured just in miles.
The hearts shrank as well
Squeezed out all the past they contained,
All the warmth,
Till they got minuscule.
It’s so easy
To not see each-other
Anymore.

umm..
The dream is asleep
Its gossamer eyes are peaceful,
Happy.
The dawn is yet to break
It’s approaching,
Slowly.
I want it to wake up
Open its eyes,
Breathe.
In your arms.
Its gossamer eyes are peaceful,
Happy.
The dawn is yet to break
It’s approaching,
Slowly.
I want it to wake up
Open its eyes,
Breathe.
In your arms.

What do empty words contain?
There was a pause
A sentence gulped
A hope submerged
Into the fear
Of uncertainty.
And then
A series of silence
Followed a series
Of empty words.
And fell into the
Void
Between us.
Making us
Part.
Further.
A sentence gulped
A hope submerged
Into the fear
Of uncertainty.
And then
A series of silence
Followed a series
Of empty words.
And fell into the
Void
Between us.
Making us
Part.
Further.

Wait
One dream
Weaved into many others-
Tiny, precious, making the whole alive;
It breathes through my emotions.
There are falls after peaks
What comes after heightened limbo?
What remains when broken pieces
Evaporate into thin air?
One breath
Weaved into many others-
Tiny, precious, filling me with life,
It yearns through my emotions
It yearns through..
It yearns,
For you.
Weaved into many others-
Tiny, precious, making the whole alive;
It breathes through my emotions.
There are falls after peaks
What comes after heightened limbo?
What remains when broken pieces
Evaporate into thin air?
One breath
Weaved into many others-
Tiny, precious, filling me with life,
It yearns through my emotions
It yearns through..
It yearns,
For you.

Shhh..
When do words cease to matter?
These days
My words seem to speak for themselves
I half listen.
I like silence-
It speaks so much more
There’s room for words around it,
And for touch.
But if I could read yours better
(For I can’t read your eyes),
I would’ve asked for something else
From the wishing star last night.
These days
My words seem to speak for themselves
I half listen.
I like silence-
It speaks so much more
There’s room for words around it,
And for touch.
But if I could read yours better
(For I can’t read your eyes),
I would’ve asked for something else
From the wishing star last night.
